This trio album was the result of an artistic development project at the School of Music at the University of Gothenburg. At the outset I, Per Anders Nilson, get a grant from my university to develop live electronics in a jazz setting. Due to the development of faster portable computer in the late 90s, it become possible to bring them on tour. On this album it is mostly live sampling of saxophone and grand piano, with processor techniques such as looping, some old stuff like delays and reverb, but notably more computer demanding stuff such as granulation, FFT, and time stretch for instance.
